Norfolk International Terminal (NIT)

Breakbulk & CFS Pickups and Deliveries
  • No appointment required except for delivery and pick-up of boats. Driver window opens for check-in begins at 7:30 am and cut off is 3 pm
  • Boats always require service appointments with 24-hour prior notice, no exceptions.
  • To schedule boat service please, call 757-440-7050
OOG Deliveries/Pickups – Overwide/Overhigh Flatracks and Open Tops – greater than 10 feet wide or 5’-11” high over top rail
  • Appointments are required with 24-hour prior notice. No exceptions.
  • To schedule an appointment, please send an email to: NITOCC@vit.org
  • Please provide the following information: Unit number, cargo dimensions, and VIT account # if known.
  • Written Payment Guarantee required
  • OOG units within the measurement guidelines listed above will be received during normal gate hours
Portsmouth Marine Terminal

Break Bulk & CFS Pickups and Deliveries 
  • Tuesday and Thursday service only.
  • An appointment is mandatory and must be placed no later than 2 pm of the prior day.
  • To schedule an appointment, please call 757-391-6123.
OOG Deliveries/Pickups – All OOG units regardless of measurements.
  • Appointments are required with 24-hour prior notice unless unit is on HRCP chassis. Units on HRCP chassis will be dropped.
  • To schedule an OOG appointment, please call 757-391-6123.
  • Please provide the following information: Unit number, cargo dimensions, and VIT account # if known.
Virginia International Gateway

Breakbulk Pickups and Deliveries
  • Appointments are required with 24-hour prior notice. No exceptions.
  • To schedule an appointment, please call 757-686-6123.
  • Exports require a dock receipt. Imports require a delivery order.
  • TWIC Cards are required. TWIC escorts are available for hire for non-TWIC Card holders
 
OOG Deliveries/Pickups – All OOG units regardless of measurements.
  • No appointment is required.
  • Drivers must be checked in to the terminal prior to 3 p.m.
